Meet Mr and Mrs. Smith, two awesome people who had me photograph their engagement pictures in DC. It was such a great day and you know DC is so picturistic. To be honest, these two make any location look good. She’s very stylish and he, just looks good. Getting to know them was fun. Thank you for a great day.DC_PhotographerDC_PhotographerDC_PhotographerDC_PhotographerDC_PhotographerDC_PhotographerDC_Photographer

Print Wraps : Millers Lab

March 23, 2011

Taking photos is my passion but when clients get their images blown up to hang at home, that really makes the my job worth every penny. I’m excite about this new product that Miller’s Lab came out with, Print Wraps. It’s printed on photographic paper and laminated with a mounting block on the back, extending the print away from the wall, looks like its floating on air. My favorite sizes are 10×10, 10×20 and 16×24 on Metallic photographic paper. Go big or go home.

You might remember this lovely couple Anne and Joe. Last year in April I photographed their engagement session at the Fulton Theater. Well they’re so awesome, we decided to hit the mean streets of Lancaster City for more photos, King Street to be exact. I love getting to know my clients, makes shooting the wedding more meaning full. I’m very excited for May 14th, wedding at Country Barn in Lancaster, PA. Have you ever gotten your pictures printed as a 4×6, 5×7, or 8×10, only to find that someone or something was missing? We assume that pictures are ready to printed right from the camera, but this is false. Pictures must be resized before they can be printed.Engagement Photographer
If you were to print right from the camera, it would not fit in a regular 8×10 print. A photo lab would size it to fit, but they don’t know what you want cropped out and what you want left in the photo. As you can see, the 8×10 image in the middle is boxier and has lost the majority of the sky. This will be the case if you would like it to fit a regular frame. Your other option is to size it so that it keeps all the details but will have a white border around the image when framed.

I have always wanted a studio of my own. Here is the result of what I can do in my space. Meet Kyrie, she was a brides maid from a wedding I photographed this summer. Doesn’t she look perfect.

People run late all the time and think nothing of it. And when they miss an awesome group photo, they tend to want to kick themselves. A professional knows that both photos need to be properly lit and the subject posed in the same manner. If you don’t know what this means, check out the video below.

Photographers always ask me how I do what I do and I normally answer, I just do me. Well now I want to share with you my process. Enjoy.

Our Megan is getting married. I remember the day she came into work then showed that Todd put a ring on it. She was super happy, all those days of editing wedding images and talking about other peoples weddings and shooting weddings. Now it’s her turn and I’m lucky enough to be shooting it :)

I had so much fun with Becca and Kurt! We spent the afternoon around walking the hidden gems of Lancaster then finished it up at Annie Bailey’s. They even got their beer on.
